ALTERNATIVE GIFT FAIR IS SATURDAY DECEMBER 1, 2012 - MARK YOUR CALENDARS :)
Looking to do good for your community while giving gifts this holiday season?

Instead of buying yet another candle, knick-knack, tie or trinket, the Alternative Gift Fair offers a chance to buy everyone on your list a much more meaningful gift. Whether you have $5 or $500 to spend, there’s a gift to fit your budget.  The heart of any community is how they relate to one another. In tough economic times like these, relating to one another also means identifying and fulfilling needs for the greater good of the whole community.

The annual Alternative Gift Fair has raised nearly $170,000 in the past five years for non-profits dedicated to essential health and human services in this region. A way to simplify holiday shopping, support local organizations, and truly celebrate the spirit of the season, the Gift Fair has become a defining event in what it means to be part of this community.

The event, which will take place at the United Methodist Church in Petoskey from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., invites people to learn about the work and mission of participating organizations in a festive holiday atmosphere.
